It stormed for three straight weeks before Tim & Mollie’s engagement session in St. Augustine, but the rain did not stop this couple! We got wet and did some Notebook inspired photos that are some of my favorite to this day!

I can remember the days leading up to the engagement shoot date, and I was texting her to see what she thought. The weather was not kind! Since St. Augustine was a destination for the two of them, and since she already had her hair & makeup appointment set in the city, she decided to just go ahead with the shoot. We planned to do clear umbrellas and make the most of it.

When we first started, it was only drizzling on and off. We were able to hop around the city and take some photos. The heavy rain was holding off and we were ecstatic! We could hear the storm rolling in though, so we booked it to the beach. When we arrived, it was starting to rain a little heavier. I asked Mollie and Tim what they wanted to do, and they decided to just embrace the rain and get wet! So we went down to the water and took some gorgeous photos! My assistant held an umbrella over me while I photographed them in the rain. We didn’t even need the clear umbrellas!

This session is proof that if it’s raining during your photos, or on your wedding day, you can still have gorgeous images.
