Each season comes with it’s own hurdles to overcome, but there are several ways to keep everyone comfortable in each season.
Winter
Nobody wants to be shivering in their photos! Keep warm blankets on standby, and even jackets. I always recommend hand warmers too! These are life savers for warming up pretty quickly. Be aware that plant life is pretty lacking in the winter, and may not be as green as it was earlier in the year when you toured the venue.
Spring
While the weather is amazing, everything is blooming. If you have people with allergies, this can be bad for makeup. Be sure to keep tissues nearby and available. I always take advantage of all the beautiful florals naturally blooming this time of year, and take photos with them. You can always reach out to your venue and ask what will be blooming when, so you have a good idea before your wedding day.
Summer
It’s hot and nobody likes to sweat. You can keep people cool with paper fans, and ice water readily available. For the bridal party, you can even buy battery powered mini fans. They’re about the size of your hand and can keep everyone cool in between photos. I prefer shooting in the shade, so I will always try to get everyone to stand in the shade, rather in the direct sunlight. This also helps keeps everyone cool!
Fall
The weather in the fall is lovely, and it’s just starting to cool off. Because of this, plant life is starting to fade. Sometimes this leads to some beautiful colors, but other times it just means that things are dead. So just keep that in mind.
