I have been dying to shoot a session out at the new venue in Morriston, Andalusian Oaks. I toured it fall of last year, but they have done so much and it is absolutely incredible out there! When Sabrina reached out to me to tell me that’s where she wanted their engagement session, I did a little happy dance.
Go figure the day of their session it’s overcast, rainy, and downright ugly outside. They were traveling from Orlando so we decided to go through with it and get some rainy engagement photos and make the best out of the situation. I am so glad we did!
At the start of the session it wasn’t raining, but it was definitely overcast and dark. I didn’t think the sun would come out at all with how thick the clouds were. Then after fifteen minutes it poured. It rained so much that even the clear umbrellas weren’t keeping them dry, but we could see the sunset off in the distance! It was only raining where we were. We adjusted and did some photos under cover, and then suddenly it just stopped. The clouds parted and the rain disappeared, leaving the most gorgeous sunset that reflected off of the lake and piazza.
Andalusian Oaks is lit up so pretty at night too, so we were able to shoot past sunset and into twilight hour without sacrificing any photo quality. I didn’t even have to break out my flash!
With how the session started, I never would have guessed we’d get such beautifully bright and golden photos. This sneak peek is just a few of the shots I was able to capture. I cannot wait for their wedding!
Beautiful!!!
