Some wedding days simply feel joyful from beginning to end, and Emily and Chase’s day was exactly that.
From the moment the morning began, there was a sense of warmth and excitement that filled the entire day. Their wedding at Thompson Farm Boujee Barn in St. Pauls, North Carolina felt less like an event and more like a gathering of friends and family celebrating something truly meaningful.
Just a short drive from Fayetteville, this charming barn venue sits surrounded by beautiful open fields, creating a peaceful setting for a wedding day to unfold naturally. It was the perfect backdrop for Emily and Chase’s classic winter celebration.
Emily originally planned a spring wedding filled with wildflowers and soft seasonal colors. But when circumstances outside of her control required the date to move to December, she embraced the change in the most beautiful way.
Instead of trying to recreate her original vision, she thoughtfully redesigned it.
Her updated color palette leaned into winter tones— rich blues, deep reds, burgundies, and soft greens— with touches of gold woven throughout the details. The result felt timeless, elegant, and perfectly suited for a December wedding.
It was such a beautiful reminder that sometimes unexpected changes create something even more special than what we originally imagined.
One of the most memorable parts of Emily and Chase’s wedding was their Coca-Cola theme, which added such a fun and personal touch to the celebration.
It was woven thoughtfully throughout the day, bringing a playful charm that made the entire event feel uniquely theirs.
Emily paid incredible attention to the details. Her wedding day look was absolutely stunning. She truly looked like the perfect winter bride. Her veil featured delicate appliqué embroidery with both her and Chase’s names stitched into the design, making it a meaningful piece she’ll always have from their day.
She also wore custom embroidered Converse shoes, which she kept on throughout the day, adding both comfort and personality to her bridal style.
The rings were custom as well, another thoughtful detail that reflected the care and intention behind their celebration.
Every element felt personal, meaningful, and beautifully coordinated.
What I remember most about Emily and Chase’s wedding is how relaxed and joyful the entire day felt.
Sometimes weddings feel like large productions with constant movement, but this day carried a different rhythm. The atmosphere felt calm, welcoming, and genuinely celebratory. Like being invited into a family gathering rather than simply documenting an event.
Laughter filled the barn, friends and family moved easily between moments, and the open fields surrounding Thompson Farm Boujee Barn created such a peaceful setting for portraits and quiet moments together.
It was truly a joy to witness.
As the evening came to a close, Emily and Chase shared a joyful send-off surrounded by their loved ones.
Instead of sparklers, they chose a bubble and LED light exit, a beautiful and playful way to end the celebration. The glowing lights and floating bubbles created such a magical atmosphere as the night wrapped up.
It was the perfect ending to a day that was already filled with so much love and laughter.
Before their wedding day, I also had the joy of photographing Emily and Chase’s engagement session at Gillis Hill Farms in Fayetteville.
Getting to spend that time together before the wedding made their celebration feel even more meaningful. By the time their wedding day arrived, everything felt comfortable and familiar, like reconnecting with friends.
Those early moments together always add something special to the story that unfolds on the wedding day.
Emily and Chase’s wedding was a beautiful example of how thoughtful details, meaningful relationships, and a relaxed atmosphere can create a truly unforgettable day.
Their winter celebration at Thompson Farm Boujee Barn in St. Pauls, North Carolina was filled with personality, warmth, and so many joyful moments.
It was an honor to capture the beginning of their marriage and preserve these memories for them.
If you are planning a wedding at Thompson Farm Boujee Barn or anywhere in the Fayetteville area, I would be honored to document your day in a way that feels timeless, romantic, and true to your story.
