This styled editorial took place on the historical streets and beaches of St. Augustine. Our goal was to create beautiful inspirational images for the bride who wants to be non-traditional without sacrificing the romantic element of her portraits.
It stormed for three straight weeks before Tim & Mollie's engagement session in St. Augustine, but the rain did not stop this couple! We got wet and did some Notebook inspired photos that are some of my favorite to this day!
Flat Lay may seem insignificant in the grand scheme of the wedding day, but these little details are just as important. Each one was thought through and planned out, and executed with love. They are party of the wedding story, and deserve to be documented.
A romantic elopement in the hidden treasure that is The Vineyard North, a real-life fairytale venue.
Hidden in the farm country of Chiefland, Florida, is a quaint little vineyard that is the picturesque definition of fairytale.
As one-half of the styled shoot & workshop planning team, Ever After Editorials, I helped create and design the concept for this gorgeous elopement editorial. Our focus was to highlight the venue and the many areas of opportunities it offers to their brides. With so many hidden gems, they made our job easy. Having been a local winery for thirty years, The Vineyard North holds true to its heritage and honors the history of the winery throughout the venue.
We chose a color palette that complimented the natural beauty of the venue, and that would be timeless and relatable to any bride envisioning their wedding there. Pinks, whites, and greens, with a touch of rose gold.
The getting ready room is a beautiful neutral space, complete with amenities and plenty of photo opportunities.
The sweetheart table setup was done up on the terrace, where the wisteria tree hangs over the open area, complete with candles and strawberry champagne for two.
The original grape vines hang over a fountain fit for fairies. For the portraits underneath the vines, we used a bubble machine and got some truly magical effects that look like pixie dust!
The koi pond is also original to the historical vineyard, and is home to beautiful koi fish and several ducks. We pulled out the pink vintage furniture in front of the koi pond for some iconic portraits.
At the end of the day we did a last dance and an intimate sparkler ‘send-off’.
