I had such a great time with Matthew & Emily out at Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens for their engagement shoot! We met at the gardens not realizing it was apparently caterpillar season! When I say there were a ton of fuzzy caterpillars everywhere, I mean a ton! There were literally hundreds. Every surface had them crawling all over the place, and we were constantly checking each other because they kept falling on us from out of the trees!

Despite all the creepy crawlies, we had an amazing time. The weather was warmer than expected, but it didn’t rain! The sky was partly cloudy too so we were able to get in some locations that otherwise would have been too harsh of light, since the gardens close at an early hour and we couldn’t do sunset. Despite not getting that golden glow, we got some amazing shots. These two are so much fun, and I’m so excited for their wedding this December! These photos are just a couple from their gallery.
