I’ve been attending and vendoring tradeshows, comic book conventions, and bridal expos for a long time. I think my first show was the artist alley of a small, local anime convention when I was a teenager, over fifteen years ago. When I started doing wedding stationery, I started doing craft fairs and bridal expos. Now that I’m a wedding photographer I primarily do wedding expos, though I’m still a geek and attend the comic book conventions for fun.
I’ve been taking photos of my booth since I got it the way I like it back in 2020. It was the first bridal expo I attended once the state opened up after Covid. While the design of my booth hasn’t changed much over the last two years, I thought I’d share some photos.
It’s not a huge extravagant setup, but it is a well-oiled machine. I can set everything up in under two hours, and it only takes half an hour to take down. All of the rose gold and glittery pink sets me apart and my brides always recognize me! Everything is on brand, and that makes me happy.

I made a few changes for the next expo. I took out the clipboards for the giveaway and streamlined that process more. I set up my iPad for an image rotation, and ordered a pretty acrylic sign with my Instagram tag on it. I also took out the bridal giveaways, as I found that they weren’t that cost effective. Brides were just as happy to receive them as they were to enter my giveaway for a chance at free Starbucks, so I put my focus there instead.
2022
I’ve done a couple expos this year, but I’d really like to show only two of them. This first one in March was one of my favorites. We were in Daytona, and the view was stunning! Not much about my booth changed for this show, but I did move the backdrop to the side so that you could see the ocean. The only other addition was the album with my most recent publications in it. I also took out the cheaper albums that I’ve had in the past, since they were outdated.
And the next photo is from my most recent expo. I took out the mirrored sign and kept it all more simplistic. I found that most people weren’t reading it anyway. I put my efforts into a new brochure instead, handing them out to brides. The brochure has all of my investment information in it, and while the cost is far more than a business card, so is the impact. I loved them, and will be continuing them in future expos.
Note to self: Buy longer white tableclothes. Having the black ones under these that came with the expo about killed me. It bothered me the whole time.
I’m really excited about my expo next weekend in Orlando, and the opportunities it presents. I’ve made a couple more changes and I’m going to make sure and take lots of photos and document it. I may even do a set-up process if I can remember to take the pictures, so that I can share it here.
If you’re a bride in need of a few more vendors, or just looking to have a good time with your bride tribe, I recommend The Xpos Bridal Expos. They’re incredible, and I love working with them.
Catch me at my next show, September 11th at the Doubletree in Orlando!
